About Hudon, Normand

A colorful and indispensable figure in Quebec culture, Normand Hudon left an indelible mark on the collective imagination through his immense talent as a cartoonist, painter, and illustrator. Combining biting humor with a highly precise pencil stroke, he is considered the father of modern cartooning in Quebec. His work is divided into two complementary worlds: fierce political satire and a nostalgic celebration of urban life. His paintings of working-class neighborhoods, with their crooked houses and distinctive characters, capture the soul of Montreal with a unique tenderness.
